The legendary Freeride trails of Blackrock, Oregon, are getting a facelift, and you can win a fully custom dream bike by supporting the Blackrock Mountain Bike association.
Support the creation and upkeep of these trails through our Fundraiser Sweepstakes before May 23rd, 2023, and you’ll be entered to win the @TransitionBikeCompany bike of your choice, built with the latest and greatest components from @SramMedia, Rockshox, @chriskingbuzz and @schwalbe tires.
Transition Bikes is supplying a Spire, Patrol, Sentinel Alloy, Smuggler, or Scout Alloy frame in the color, size, and material (where available) of the winner’s choice. Rockshox will provide the winner the fork and shock of their choice to build it out, complimenting a SRAM Transmission, AXS dropper-post and Stealth brakes package. The winner will be rolling pretty on some blinged-out Chris King wheels (in any of the eye-catching new colors), and Schwalbe has stepped up to outfit this steed with a pair of their industry-leading tires. Finish it off with a Truvative cockpit and grips, and this baby will be dialed.
This dream bike will be assembled and shipped from Salem, Oregon by @SantiamBikesSalem.

Built to the standards of gnar that spawned the New World Disorder and Kranked video series’, Blackrock’s iconic wooden features and blind hucks put Western Oregon on the map in the early 2000’s. Since those halcyon days of 24″ Nokian Gazzaloddis and 600mm bars, bikes (and riders) have evolved a bit.
Now the trails are evolving to catch up. Back in the day, sending a 20-foot gap in the trees was a pro-level manuever, requiring a whole lot of courage (and possibly a fresh pair of JNCO jeans) to pull off. But by today’s bike and trailbuilding standards, a 20-foot double is a safe and easy warm-up for the bigger hits down the mountain. And that’s got the BRMBA builders all fired up.
Enlisting the help of professional trailbuilders like Josh Venti, Carson Storch and Kyle Jameson, the folks at BRMBA have the means and motivation to make Blackrock better than ever.
All those trails are spendy though – insurance, fuel, burritos for the builders, portable toilets for after the burritos… it adds up. That’s where Blackrock’s super-rad industry sponsors have stepped up, and donated an absolute superbike for one lucky BRMBA supporter to take home.
Please join us at Blackrock on May 27th to check out these trails in person! We’ll be on site with our friends from Transition, SRAM, Chris King, Schwalbe and 805 Brewing, (plus a whole bunch of your favorite athletes) to show you what we’ve been working on!
