Press Release: Cannondale
New partnership between Cannondale and Good Company Bike Club aims to foster inclusivity and accessibility among riders both on and off the bike. Together, Cannondale and Good. Co will host events and programs that will help strengthen underrepresented and voiceless cycling communities in New York City, and one day, across the country.
On Saturday, June 17th, Good Co. will have its 4th annual Juneteenth Freedom Ride, which has been a huge success in previous years, and Cannondale will be on-site to support. The ride, commencing at the steps of the Brooklyn Museum, will include a full schedule of programming featuring local performances, special guests, and co-branded giveaways on behalf of both brands.
The Brooklyn-based organization has held countless rides throughout NYC in the last few years, creating a fun, inclusive environment and a mental and physical outlet open to all levels of cyclists. And though open to riders of all backgrounds, Good Co. specifically caters to Black New Yorkers. Filling a void for connection in the height of the pandemic fast-tracked Good Co.’s growth, with brand evangelists across the five boroughs. Today, Good Company Bike Club in partnership with Cannondale Bicycles is making cycling more inviting and accessible to riders. Together, the two groups will work to create more inclusive opportunities both on and off the bike – for both cyclists and those who do not feel recognized as cyclists.
Established in 2020, during the height of social justice unrest in America, Good Co. was formed to create a positive and community-driven outlet for cyclists throughout New York City and beyond. They are a group that is passionate about cultivating an environment where cycling is not only inclusive but accessible. Actively involved in their community, Good Co., through its nonprofit, Good Co. Cares, organizes weekly rides for all levels of experience and meets regularly with local NYC government officials, businesses, and cycling partners to help further shape and aid in improving cycling infrastructure throughout the city.
