After a season full of rain cancellations and reschedules, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) NorCal League returned to Six Sigma Ranch for one final battle. Six Sigma, a familiar course for many, was reworked for Champs now going clockwise with a different start and finish than the previous races.

Course & Conditions:
The weather threatened the 5-mile race and threw the trail builders for a loop, leaving them to make last-minute changes to the course. They built two rock bridges over what had been a creek that riders were to ride through.

Racing:
A challenging course resulted in a number of crashes. With significantly more racers than usual in the same start gate, it’s a given there will be more harder race.

With more than fifty teams battling it out everyone had a great race. Calling out Tam High, Berkley and Redwood for bringing it home in the top three.
