Words: Jeff Kendall-Weed

Between a visit in 2019, and a return in 2023, the builders with the Evergreen Mountain bike alliance have clearly been hard at work! I have no connection the Evergreen crew, but I gotta admit, I really appreciate all their efforts to improve Washington State’s mountain biking.
The Ride Park has undergone massive renovations recently. The new Ride Park will eventually feature improved access and facilities, but between January and March alone, had seen so many changes that I didn’t even recognize it.

Professional trail builder Matt Blossom shows me the new Jump to Conclusions trail.

The massive jump line looks amazing, and after some recent tweaking, should work with the available speed. The builders were hoping to make the largest, publicly accessible jump line in the western USA, and they might have done just that. Looking forward to sending these soon!

Hippopotamus trail was really cool! Plenty of hip jumps, growing in size down the hill. It was great to meet and ride with Isaac Gautschi as well!
